About the Role
Bendigo Health is seeking Emergency Medicine Registrars to join its Emergency Department for the 2027 clinical year.
The Emergency Department provides care across a wide range of adult and paediatric presentations, with approximately 23% paediatric caseload. As a Registrar, you will work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering acute Emergency Medicine care to patients from Bendigo and the wider Loddon Mallee region.
You will gain exposure to regional trauma, paediatrics, resuscitation, procedural medicine, short stay care, and a broad mix of acute presentations. The department has a strong academic and training focus, making it a strong environment for doctors looking to progress their Emergency Medicine career in Australia.
Key Responsibilities
As an Emergency Medicine Registrar, your responsibilities will include:
• Providing assessment and management of patients presenting to the Emergency Department
• Working closely with FACEMs, senior medical staff, nursing staff, and allied health teams
• Participating in resuscitation, trauma, paediatric, and acute care presentations
• Supporting safe patient flow through the Emergency Department and Short Stay Unit
• Contributing to teaching, supervision, and team-based clinical care
• Taking part in departmental education, simulation, exam preparation, and training activities
