The Opportunity
Concord Hospital in Sydney is seeking experienced Emergency Department Registrars to join its ED team.
This is an ACEM-accredited position, making it a strong option for doctors looking to continue developing their Emergency Medicine career in Australia. The role is suited to doctors with solid ED experience who are confident working in a busy hospital environment.
You will provide high-quality clinical care in the Emergency Department, work closely with senior clinicians and multidisciplinary teams, and support junior medical staff and students.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess and manage patients presenting to the Emergency Department
• Provide safe, high-quality emergency medical care
• Work closely with consultants, senior doctors, nursing staff and allied health teams
• Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement activities
• Supervise and support junior medical staff and medical students
• Take part in ongoing training and professional development
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should meet one of the following:
• General AHPRA registration with ED Registrar experience
• UK or Irish medical graduate with at least 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Doctor with at least 2 years of NHS Emergency Department experience and successful completion of PLAB exams
You should also have:
• Demonstrated competence in Emergency Medicine
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
