The opportunity
Join a regional clinical team as a Senior Medical Practitioner, providing generalist medical care across emergency, acute and inpatient settings. You will have access to clinical support through referral, transport, telehealth and specialist services, with opportunities to develop your rural medicine experience.
What you’ll be doing
• Assess and manage emergency and acute presentations.
• Provide general ward and inpatient medical care.
• Contribute to aged care, rehabilitation and palliative care services.
• Supervise, support and train junior doctors and other clinical staff.
• Work collaboratively with local teams and supporting regional and statewide services.
• Travel as required to meet the needs of the role.
What you’ll bring
• Eligibility for general and/or specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• FRACGP and/or FACRRM, or current progress towards either fellowship.
• Emergency medicine or urgent care experience, or a willingness to undertake further upskilling.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to provide clinical leadership, work effectively within a team and practise independently when required.
• A current C or C-A class driver’s licence.
• Generalist registrars with a strong commitment to high-quality regional care are also encouraged to apply.

• An advertised remuneration package of $377,207 to $401,095 per annum for Senior Medical Practitioners.
• Rural Generalist remuneration of $382,342 to $432,570 per annum, subject to an independent eligibility assessment.
• Packages include 12% employer superannuation and a professional development allowance of $34,696.
• Penalty, on-call and recall payments may apply in addition to the advertised package.
