The opportunity
A permanent Staff Specialist position within a busy maternity and gynaecology service at a major tertiary referral and teaching hospital. The role may suit a specialist whose expertise is in obstetrics, gynaecology or a combination of both, with the opportunity to work alongside a broad multidisciplinary team.
What you’ll be doing
• Providing high-level clinical care in obstetrics, gynaecology or both
• Managing complex obstetric and gynaecological presentations
• Participating in the on-call roster for acute services
• Providing clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary environment
• Supervising and supporting junior medical staff
• Contributing to teaching, research and professional development
• Taking part in quality improvement initiatives
What you’ll bring
• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists or equivalent.
• Registration, or eligibility for registration, with AHPRA
• Extensive experience in obstetrics, gynaecology or combined practice
• A strong background in managing complex cases
• A commitment to teaching, research and ongoing professional development
• The ability to lead and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
