Join a supportive regional emergency medicine team in a permanent PGY4+ position. You’ll gain broad clinical experience under senior supervision, with structured education and a clear pathway towards accredited emergency medicine training.

The opportunity
This permanent role offers experience across a regional hospital network caring for adult and paediatric emergency presentations. You’ll work alongside experienced senior clinicians in departments that manage trauma, acute presentations and short-stay care.
What you’ll be doing
• Assess and manage patients presenting to the Emergency Department under appropriate supervision.
• Provide safe, high-quality care within your level of experience.
• Work collaboratively with senior doctors and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Communicate clinical decisions clearly with the specialist responsible for each patient’s care.
• Develop greater independence as your skills, knowledge and experience progress.
• Participate in a 24/7 roster covering day, evening and night shifts.
• Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
What you’ll bring
• PGY4 or above at the time of commencement.
• Qualifications and experience appropriate to an Unaccredited Emergency Medicine Trainee role.
• The ability to work independently within a supervised clinical environment.
• Strong multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
• Clear and respectful written and verbal communication.
• Good organisation, time management and prioritisation skills.
• Evidence of continuing professional development and a commitment to self-directed learning.
