CREATIVE CAREERS IN MEDICINE 2021 (CCIM)
Blugibbon has always fostered creativity, from providing our locum doctors with alternative “Spin the Wheel” prizes, to treating them to surprise gifts, to filming them taking 4×4 vehicles across Australia and many more initiatives that would raise some eyebrows!

So when the opportunity came knocking to sponsor and support the Creative Careers in Medicine community aka CCIM, we jumped higher than a Gibbon.
Started by GP (and telehealth expert) Dr Amandeep Hansra in 2018 her idea culminated with a workshop of healthcare professionals wanting more from their careers. Little did they expect that this burgeoning passion for clinicians to do more would balloon to an event of hundreds of like-minded souls and the movement was well and truly born, alive and kicking.
More than just an event however, the community now provides a Private Facebook Group , Membership Program, Podcast, Q&A Webinar Series, Mentoring Program, Market Place and Student Community.
You can actually sign up to become a full member of CCIM for $149 or if you’re lucky enough you can win membership on our Spin the Wheel competition.
Most recently they rounded off 2020 in spectacular style with an online extravaganza, CCIM 2020: What’s your superpower? Blugibbon chaired our own session ‘Livin La Vida Locum’ It was all about locum life and creative healthcare jobs and even had our own virtual drop-in lounge to chat, mingle and dispense advice on weird and wonderful opportunities across Australia. If you want to get creative in your locum doctor career in 2021 and beyond, get in touch with the team today on info@blugibbon.com or 02 8960 6445.

A practical guide for Australian psychiatrists at every stage of training and consultancy. At some point in your psychiatry career, the question arises: Should I remain in a permanent role, or explore psychiatry locum jobs in Australia? There is no single right answer. The best choice depends on your career stage, financial goals, family commitments, and how much autonomy you want over your time. If you are comparing locum vs permanent psychiatrist jobs in Australia, this guide will help you make a decision that supports your life, not just your CV.

Locum doctors and nurses across Emergency, Psychiatry, Surgery, ICU, General Practice, and Medical specialties give a lot. Long shifts in Emergency. Emotionally demanding work in mental health. High-pressure theatres and ICUs. Busy GP clinics. RMOs rotating through unfamiliar teams and hospitals. Add shift work, nights, weekends, and constant change, and it becomes clear why wellbeing matters so deeply for healthcare workers , especially those working locum or rotating contracts. At Blugibbon, we believe supporting doctors and nurses means more than filling rosters. It means creating community, balance, and continuity , particularly for those working across Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. That is why we are opening up a free monthly wellbeing session for doctors and nurses , regardless of specialty or contract type.
